Unlock Awakening Skills in Lost Ark

Awakening Skills are powerful skills unlocked at level 50 in Lost Ark. Each class has 2 Awakening Skills that can be used, but they are not unlocked automatically. You must complete a series of Guide Quests to unlock each Awakening Skill. Once you’ve completed these quests on one character, they will automatically be completed on another character. Make sure you stock up on Chaos Shards so you can use the skills more often.

How to Unlock Your First Awakening Skill

Continue progression through the main Blue World Quest Line where you will travel to Vern Castle, located in North Vern. Eventually a Purple Guide Quest will pop up on your screen from Beatrice. (Check your Quest Journal <J> under the Guide Tab in case you missed it)

Beatrice will ask you to come meet her in Trixion. You can quickly get to Trixion by playing the Song of Trixion. Open up your Sheet Music <F2> and play the song to teleport there. Once you are in Trixion, you can’t miss her.

In case you think you may have already accepted this quest before and you lost where you are along the way, you can always check your quest log and navigate to the purple tutorial quests and check if it is already in there.

Obtain Your Final Level 50 Skill

The third Quest in this chain of Guide Quests will unlock your final level 50 skill. It will be rewarded as a book in your inventory that you will need to Right-Click on to learn. It will be added to your Skills Menu <K>

Obtain Your First Awakening Skill

The final quest will bring you back to Beatrice where you will be rewarded with the First Awakening Skill as an item in your inventory. Right-Click on it to learn it. It will be added to your Skills Menu <K>

Unlock Your Second Awakening Skill

The Quest Chain to obtain your Second Awakening Skill will have you sail across the world. Expect to spend an hour or two completing it.

You will need to complete the Main Questline in Rohendel. (Rohendel requires an Item level of 400).

Eventually you will receive a mail telling you that a new Purple Guide Quest: [Awakening] Mysterious Letter has appeared. (Check your Quest Journal <J> under the Guide Tab in case you missed it)

Tip: Set your Bifrost Location <ALT+W> at the Rohendal Port for use later on.

After the first set of Quests, you will need to complete the entire Main Quest Chain in Shushire. If you have already completed it on a different character in your Roster, you can continue the Guide Quest on that character instead.

When you are tasked with entering one of the last 2 Guardian Raids in Tier 1. You do not need to complete the Guardian Raid, simply enter alone and complete the Quest Objective and play the Song of Escape. (You will be locked out of entering Guardian Raids for 10 minutes if you do not complete it)

Tip: Set a second Bifrost Location <ALT+W> at the North Vern Harbor for use later on.

To save time, take the Ocean Liner to Arthetine. Then sail to Secret Base X-301. Party up and complete the Quest to receive a ticket for entry into the dungeon. (This is also a Una’s Daily Task)

Tip: Set your Song of Return to Luterra Castle to return to it later.

To save time, take the Ocean Liner to North Vern for the next step. Repair your ship here. Then sail to Shadow Island. Defeat the demons until you receive the Quest item, then head down the stairs to use the Quest item on the Lower Floor. Use Song of Escape and head to the next island.

Continue the Quest chain through Promise Isle. After completing the tasks here, use your Saved Bifrost Location from before to teleport to Luterra Castle. (or use Song of Return and take the Ocean Liner to East Luterra). Continue the quests through Sunflower Island.

Once you are tasked to go to Parna Forest, use your Saved Bifrost Location <ALT+W> from before to teleport to North Vern Harbor.

To get to Twilight Isle, use your Saved Bifrost Location <ALT+W> from before to teleport to Rohendel. Or to save time, take the Ocean Liner to Rohendel Port for the next step.

There is a pre-requisite Guide Quest to gain access to Twilight Isle. This Guide Quest is found on the nearby island, San Tramonto.

Finally, once you’ve finished this quest you can now claim the 2nd Awakening on all of your characters by speaking to Beatrice once reaching level 50. The Awakening Skill will be sent to you via your Mail.
